French Quarter Festival unveils its 2022 musical program

Nonprofit French Quarter Festivals, Inc. (FQFI) has announced its official return after a two-year hiatus. The French Quarter Festival presented by Chevron, the largest free festival and showcase of Louisiana music, food and culture, will take place April 21-24 at venues and stages throughout the French Quarter.

The 2022 festival invites locals and visitors alike to savor the flavors of regional cuisine at more than 50 local restaurants, dance to the beat of more than 265 Louisiana shows on 20 stages, and enjoy special events that celebrate New Brunswick. Orleans. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. over four days. Festival organizers welcome the return of Chevron as presenting sponsor of the French Quarter Festival and Satchmo SummerFest.

“Even though the event itself has been suspended for the past two years, Chevron’s support for the French Quarter Festival has never wavered,” said Leah Brown, public affairs manager for Chevron Gulf of Mexico. “Together, we have funded local musicians and the concert community during the most difficult days of COVID. Now we are more excited than ever to see these legendary artists return to the stage. This year’s festival will be an opportunity to to once again support Louisiana musicians and businesses and to celebrate the special culture, cuisine and character of Crescent City. “We have been patiently working and waiting and now the countdown to our 2022 Spring Festival has officially begun,” said Emily Madero, President and CEO of FQFI. “We are coming back strong with over 1,800 local musicians, over 40 chefs and restaurants, new interactive fan experiences and nightly programming across the city. The FQFI is proud to kick off festival season in New Orleans with a truly authentic celebration and we invite everyone to join us for four unforgettable days.
