FUSER Free Demo Lets You Try Music Mixing Rhythm Game Yourself

Harmonix’s latest rhythm game, the music mixing phenomenon FUSION, now has a demo so you can try mixing tracks on your own, drop records to the beat, and create uniquely sounding mixes that make you feel like a real DJ. Available today on PS4 (and PS5 via backward compatibility), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC via Steam, the free software FUSION The demo features eight popular tracks in your crate, allowing for an almost endless amount of mixdown thanks to each song’s multiple tracks and ways to mix them up. The demo drops before FUSION Update 1.3, which will add a number of new features, modes and quality of life fixes to the full game. Harmonix also teased some of the artists that would be added via DLC tracks in the future.

The FUSION The demo features the following eight songs that players can mix in a variety of ways:

  • Bad Bunny “Yo Perreo Sola”
  • Billie Eilish “naughty”

  • Rage Against The Machine “Kill in the Name”
  • Smash Mouth “All Star”
  • Warren G and Nate Dogg “regulate”

It is now available on the PlayStation Store and other respective storefronts. Unfortunately, there are no country songs in the demo, which overlaps surprisingly well despite being country songs.

During this time, FUSION Update 1.3 will arrive in the “coming weeks”, with the following changes:

  • Live events – These new events add a competitive touch to recurring in-game events. Live Sets will present a challenge to all FUSER DJs, including leaderboards and prizes to reach score levels.
  • Customization of Freestyle Co-Op – Players will now be able to adjust the number of laps and lap duration for public Co-Op Freestyle sessions.
  • Hot clips – Hot Clips is a powerful new creative tool, which allows DJs to preview a record before dropping it on the decks, adding a fifth loop to their mixes.
  • Find the right mix – The update makes it easier to navigate the mixes players liked through their profiles, as well as new sorting features including alphabetical order, most liked / viewed, and date created.
  • Share with the world – This update adds several optimizations for sharing and streaming. Gamers can now share videos from anywhere in the game using native console sharing features, and DJs can now enable an option to select only monetizable songs for streaming.
