Sega has unveiled the upcoming global release of the rhythm and visual novel mobile game, Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage !.
Sega developed the game in collaboration with Colorful Palette and will be the first Hatsune Miku game to be released on mobile.
The new game was revealed as part of a celebration commemorating the 14th anniversary of Hatsune Miku’s founding.
Hatsune Miku: colorful scene! will feature live virtual performances by Hatsune Miku and five original bands, each band featuring an original story and unique style. The game is likely to be similar to Craft Egg’s Bang Dream! Girls group party.
Hatsune Miku is the world’s most popular voice synthesizer developed and owned by Crypton Future Media and has been featured in over 100,000 songs and has given several sold-out 3D concerts around the world.
The game is already available in Japan under the name “Project Sekai Colorful Stage! Feat. Hatsune Miku”. The title has proven to be a success and has surpassed five million downloads so far.
Several Hatsune Miku rhythm games have been released on various platforms in the past as part of the Project Diva series.
Hatsune Miku: colorful scene! is expected to be released worldwide on Android and iOS devices later this year.
Live virtual shows
“I have been a fan of Hatsune Miku from the very beginning and have watched the worldwide phenomenon of its fan base and community growing,” said Sega producer Shingo Kosuge.
“We have created a new immersive experience with Hatsune Miku providing her fans, as well as fans of anime and Japanese culture, to engage and experience her music. It will be a pleasure for us to see how people react to musical performances and fun game challenges that we create. “
Earlier this year, Sega launched several new Sonic the Hedgehog games and partnerships that will release throughout 2021 and 2022.
