INSPIRED by the idea of perpetual motion, adidas’ new pair was designed to support and protect runners with every stride with a constant rocking motion that creates a rhythmic flow.

Even better, the pair was also eco-friendly and much more durable as it featured a padded collar and tongue combined with an engineered mesh upper, made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic.

The new Adidas Adistar running shoe was now available in a rush blue or turbo red colourway and retailed for P6,500 in-store and online via and the Adidas app or via the Adidas Viber store. .

The new Adidas Adistar was designed to strike soft and move forward from the first step to the distant last.

The shoe also featured the soft and responsive Repetitior midsole, paired with Repetitior+, a firm EVA cradle, made from 15% recycled material, that sits around the heel. Meanwhile, the midsole had “rocker geometry”, thanks to a 6 millimeter drop in heel-to-toe stack height.

Simon Lockett, Senior Product Manager, said: “For the Spring Summer 22 season, we wanted to focus on supporting all runners on their long and slow runs. With that in mind, we created the Adidas Adistar , which is designed to give runners confidence on long runs through the perfect combination of cushioning, protection and support. The all-new midsole – Repetitior – combined with the forefoot rocker geometry creates a smooth motion that constantly helps runners take the next step.Adistar is also built on a specially designed last to accommodate the anatomical differences of the male and female foot – meaning every runner will be supported on their run long and slow.”
